ROCHESTER, NY – In their first ever game with their sister campus, the Bryant & Stratton College Rochester Bobcats (0-6) fell to the Nationally Ranked (#2) Bryant & Stratton College Buffalo Bobcats (5-2) by a score of 84-77. It was the first of 2 regular season meetings between the two BSC schools this season.
Good ball movement and a strong full court press got Buffalo off to a hot start. They were able to take advantage of 17 first half turnovers by Rochester to jump out to an early 23-10 lead. Rochester was able to turn things battle back and would cut the deficit down to just 6 points. Momentum shifted back to the Buffalo in the closing minutes of the first half and a 3-point buzzer beater would push Buffalo's lead back to 42-29 heading into the locker room.
The second half began with the teams trading buckets. With 7 minutes left the score was 70-57 to Buffalo's advantage. The tide began to change in Rochester's favor as Buffalo would have a two technical fouls called on them in the same play and Rochester was able to convert on four free throws. Rochester would use that momentum, cutting Buffalo's lead back down to 73-71. A turnover on the ensuing play and Rochester being forced to foul down the stretch would enable Buffalo to hang on at the final buzzer, tallying their 5th win of the year.
