Shorthanded Bobcats still hunting for first program win
Shorthanded Bobcats still on the hunt for the programs first victory.
CANANDAIGUA, NY - For the fourth time this season, a shortened Bobcat Roster headed into a contest searching for the program's first win. The opponent was the 7-5 Finger Lakes Community College Lakers. Much like a majority of the games this season the Bobcats held a lead after the first ten minutes of the game and a late first-half run by the opposition lead to a halftime deficit.
With Rochester down 15 Points at the intermission, the two teams traded baskets for the first eight minutes of the second half. It was then that the Bobcats were able to stage a run and cut the Laker lead to two points with just over a minute remaining. Rochester was forced to foul and Finger Lakes managed to convert their free throws down the stretch and hang on for an eight-point victory, 74-66.
Up next: the Bobcats head to Boston, MA this weekend to play the Fisher College Falcons on Sunday, December 16.
