Bryant & Stratton Rochester Falls to Fisher Despite Stewart’s Double-Double Effort
Buffalo, N.Y. — The Bryant & Stratton College Rochester Bobcats men's basketball team opened their 2025–26 campaign with a hard-fought matchup against Fisher at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center, falling 86–65 in the opening game of the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Kickoff Classic.
Despite the final score, the Bobcats battled through all four quarters, highlighted by a standout performance from Aaron Stewart, who posted a massive 27 points and 15 rebounds.
Junior forward Aaron Stewart was dominant from start to finish, going 11-for-24 from the field and leading all scorers with 27 points. His 15 rebounds marked an early-season double-double that kept the Bobcats within striking distance for much of the contest.
Junior forward Kai Henderson added 12 points and 11 rebounds, earning his own double-double in an efficient 5-for-9 shooting night. Fellow junior Jaral Farmer contributed 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, showcasing his versatility and leadership in limited minutes.
Guard Javon Rosier chipped in 11 points, connecting on two three-pointers, while freshman Damienn Louis added an early triple off the bench to get the Bobcats rolling offensively.
The opening half saw a strong start from the Bobcats, who trailed by only a few possessions before Fisher's bench depth shifted the momentum. Fisher shot an efficient 50% from the floor and used balanced scoring across 13 players, led by Ezekiel Edwards (14 points) and Mekhi Dedrick (12 points).
Bryant & Stratton Rochester continued to compete on the boards, matching Fisher with 41 team rebounds, but struggled to capitalize on second-chance opportunities and free throws, finishing 10-for-18 (55.6%) from the line.
Turnovers also proved costly, as the Bobcats committed 19, compared to Fisher's 16.
The Bobcats (0–1) will return to action Sunday afternoon as they face Penn State Shenango to close out the weekend at the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Kickoff Classic. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
